Each year we rely on a wonderful group of volunteers to help us make our conference environment warm and welcoming for all attendees. Volunteers work alongside the most innovative people in journalism, and finish the conference with the satisfaction that they’ve helped successfully support one of the biggest events in the field.
Selected applicants will receive complimentary registration to ONA26.
Volunteer Roles
Event volunteers work eight-hour shifts helping support pre-conference preparations, registration, sessions, special events and other important aspects of ONA26.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, each of our volunteers will receive one complimentary, non-transferable registration to attend ONA26.
Volunteers who fail to complete their shifts may be charged for attending ONA26.
All applicants are considered regardless of their previous involvement with ONA in any capacity.
Volunteers are more than welcome to attend sessions and events outside of your scheduled volunteer hours. Some volunteer shifts also require you to tune in to a session as part of your responsibilities.
Applications to join the ONA26 volunteer team will be considered on a rolling basis.
